Meet the Dr (abajo en Espanol)
Dr. Douglas Herrera is fully bilingual (English/Spanish). He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and of local/national dental associations. Dr. Herrera is also a board certified endodontist in Canada. He earned an Engineering degree from the University of Toronto (BASc) from the faculty of Electrical/Computer engineering, a degree in Human Biology (BSc) from the University of Toronto, a doctorate degree in Dentistry (DDS) from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) from Nova Southeastern University in Florida, a specialty certificate in Endodontics from Nova Southeastern University, a master degree in Dentistry (MScD) based on regeneration of dental tissue using Stem Cells from Nova Southeastern University and a Fellowship from the Royal College of Dentist of Canada, FRCD(C), which is conferred to dental specialist after the Canadian board examinations.
Dr. Herrera was involved in Clinical Biochemistry research at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Toronto and also in Stem Cells research at the College of Dental Medicine of Nova Southeastern University. He worked as an engineer at Microsoft before becoming a dentist. He has also been involved in volunteering services for underserved populations locally and abroad.
Most recently, he earned a college certificate in Small Business Administration through a scholarship from Goldman Sachs. He has been a Board Examiner consecutively for over 5 years.
